High 5 Netball 15th May 2018
Match Report
On Tuesday 15th of May eight children travelled to Rushmere Sports Centre to take part in the School Games High 5 netball competition. This game differs from traditional netball, in that, there are only five players on the court and after every half the children change position. This means that each child will play in every position throughout the tournament.
Our team played really well and mastered the rotational changes after each half, demonstrating their understanding of attacking as well as defensive play. Our first game was against Kyson and we were delighted to finish with a nil, nil draw. After that, we played Grundisburgh and won 2-1. Our final games were against St. Marys, Ipswich and Morland where we were defeated but, didn’t give up and played some excellent netball right up to the final whistle.
All the players represented Bawdsey well competing in a positive manner with consideration for everyone around them. Kiarah, Courtnie and Darius were all considered for the fair play award, with Darius being the eventual winner.
