The French Café.
The French café was an incredibly fun experience for all the children in class 3! It is held once a year in order to make some money towards the extra activities in the French week. There were quite alot of people at the French café which was great to see especially as there were quite a few people who mlive in the village who had come to support us! All the children dressed up in French costumes and tried to speak in French (not easy). The children in year 5 and 6 had all the jobs, like working on the tombola, serving food, welcoming the guests and being either a waiter/waitress. As so many people came to the French café, we made alot of money which will all go towards class 3’s trip to France.
The café started at 3:00pm and finished at 4:15pm. We all had to bring items like cans of food for the tombola. Mrs Wigby, a teacher at Bawdsey, went shopping for all the food sold at the French café. It was a great afternoon, although it was extremely busy, we still all had a good time.

The French Café.
The French café was a really worthwhile venture which we all thouroughly enjoyed. We all had a different job to do and sometimes we even had to help other people with their job! There were a lot of people at the French café, the children dressed up in their French outfits to be a waiter/waitress to serve our customers. The money we raised went towards our trip to France.
We had plenty of food to eat ,such as; baguettes, croissants, cakes and much more. The French café started at 3 o’clock and ended at 4:15pm. We even had a Tombola stall for which we all had to bring a tin in of food like; baked beans, soup and peaches. Mrs Wigby ,class 3’s teacher, went out to buy all the food for the café and she also set up everything in the cafe though we did help a bit. Even though it was extremely hard work, we all had a great time.
